Are you afraid you missed something in the Ace Plus Blender Series for Season 1? Like It Or Not has you covered! Here are all of the videos in ONE SPOT!
Have you ever burned food in your blender and couldn't figure it out? We had this problem after cooking Alfredo Sauce in our blender. We figured it out after a lot of trial & errors.
Remember the time she made almond butter in the Ace Plus Blender? It took her a while, but once she figured it out it was delicious!

The weirdest thing about this recipe is that it's set for Soup2 which means the temp should get to 212, but the blender doesn't get hot with this recipe. We know that the Soup2 setting is working because the blender burned and we've used it in other things since filming the Bean Dip. We learned something new after filming this in regards to the Ace Plus Blender so we hope to remake the bean dip with the something new we learned to see if that helps the consistency. That video will come out on Wednesday along with the Taste Test. We're not including the specifics of what we used in this video since it didn't look right when it came out of the blender. However, this is the recipe we utilized in this video should you want to try it for yourself. https://recipes.instantpot.com/recipe/ace-plus-blender-warm-black-bean-dip/ BEHIND THE SCENES|
We tackle making Oat Milk In the first episode of the second season of the Ace Plus Blender Series. We use both Steel Cut Oats & Rolled Oats in the blender. A game for you guys is to count the number of time I use the word "gross." Can she make Oat milk? Let's find out. WHAT TO EXPECT |
INGREDIENTS & TOOLS |
Here is the deal. This was gross. It was so gross especially for someone that has texture issues. However, I pummeled through this just for our viewers. I have read since making it that if you use a different setting it might not turn out as slimy. I am not sure I'll be redoing the Oat Milk during Season 2 unless I run out prior to doing Battle of the Blenders. I have sense read two or three tips that I want to put to the test to see if I can reduce the sliminess of the oat milk. Stay tuned in a couple of weeks for that video. https://recipes.instantpot.com/recipe/ace-blender-oat-milk/ Behind the Scenes |
This video was filmed on October 18th and she edited it on October 22nd and 23rd. She uploaded it to YouTube to publish on November 2nd. She used TubeBuddy 95% for the thumbnail in this one. The background was selected from Canva, but that was all. Our footage was filmed using our Canva. We used the internal microphone from the camera as well as a Maono AU A425 Plus Microphone for voice overs. WHAT TO EXPECT |
Mrs. Like doesn't like Almond Butter in the store. However, she thought maybe she'd like her own version since she does like to use her homemade almond milk instead of store bought. It doesn't go as easily as expected. She didn't use enough oil for the amount of oil she used and wound up having to using olive oil to get the consistency to her liking. It was really good though. It takes a lot of scraping with nut butter and isn't necessarily a set it and forget it type of recipe. In the video, she used 3 cups of almonds, a little bit of salt and started off with only 2 TB of coconut oil. However, she needed a LOT more plus used olive oil to get it to come to consistency. The Nut Butter Program was used twice on the Ace Plus Blender. If Mrs. Like made it again, she would probably start off with a good 1/4 cups of melted coconut oil if not more. However, this was VERY very yummy. She ate it all. In other videos, Mrs. Like has been splitting the make it and taste it into two videos. However since it took so long to make it, she decided just to have one longer video instead of one over 10 minute video and one very short video. She added cleaning the blender to this video as well. Is it really a Like It Or Not video if there aren't cut scenes? BEHIND THE SCENES | We used a Canon 80D to film this video. We used Open Shot Editor for editing the film together. We used Canva to create the captions & cards within the video. We used TubeBuddy to help create this thumbnail along with a print screen, the remove background website and canva. We filmed the footage on July 16th and put it together on that same day. This video debuted on our YouTube channel on August 16, 2020.
We find out whether or not Mr. Like likes the Spicy Sweet Potato & Leek Soup from the Ace Plus Blender that Mrs. Like didn't have a recipe for that day. Let's see how it goes. WHAT TO EXPECT |
NOTE FROM EDITOR| We [now] try to turn our kitchen videos into two parts because we can leave some scenes that would need to be trimmed if we did it into one part. We were able to leave in a lot more cut scenes in both parts of the spicy soup video simply because we didn't feel like it would have run too long. We hope you enjoy it. See some of our other posts for our Behind the Scenes information.
Mrs. Like thought outside the box and created a Sweet Potato & Leek soup since the Potato & Leek soup went so well in the Ace Plus Blender. However, she decided to trick her husband and add a few red pepper flakes. Did she trick her husband? Check it out. WHAT TO EXPECT |
RECIPE OF SORTS |
If using Instant Ace Plus Blender, set your blender for SOUP 2 for 17:21 (minutes:seconds). It takes about 11 minutes for the above ingredients to come to temperature of 212 degrees F. When the soup 2 cycle finishes, remove the lid of your blender and add 1/2 cup of heavy whipping cream, a pinch of pepper & your desired amount of red pepper flakes should you want spicy. SUGGESTION BY VIEWER is to put a pinch of red pepper in at the beginning instead of at the end so it cooks into the soup. Pulse the soup another 20 seconds at a lower level or simply stir it a large handled spoon. A new blog post will be out on 10/22/2020 in regards to Mr. Like's response, but should you want a spoiler the video is already on our channel. The Cut Scenes | We try to include cut scenes in every video. We have a bunch of little quick cut scenes in this video and the funniest one is when the sweet potato falls off the counter. BEHIND THE SCENES| We used a Canon 80D to film this video. We used Open Shot Editor for editing the film together. We used Canva to create the captions & cards within the video. We did use TubeBuddy to help create this thumbnail along with a print screen, the remove background website and Canva. We filmed this on July 14, 2020. We originally put it together on July 15th, but on July 28th we fixed this video to be a two part episode. The first part released onto our YouTube channel on August 10, 2020 Mrs. Like tried to make a Potato & Leek Soup in the Ace Plus Blender. She ran the blender by Instant Pot for 17:21 on the Soup 2 setting. Will it be long enough? Let's see. This video debuted on our channel in August 2020. WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE VIDEO |
KEY COMPONENTS & INGREDIENTS|
Winner Winner Chicken Dinner. The Potato & Leek soup still remains the favorite thing Mr. Like had through the first season of the Ace Plus Blender Series. He enjoyed some other things as well, but this was by far his favorite. In fact, it disappeared in two days and it didn't go into the trash can this time! If you are new to using the Ace Plus Blender, this is a pretty easy recipe that worked well for us and Mrs. Like learned a new skill. She learned how to cut a leek and learned that sometimes winging it isn't bad (hoping that 17:21 on Soup 2 in the Ace Plus Blender would be comparable to the Ace Nova at 22:41). She can't be truly sure that the taste is the same since they don't own a Nova to try out the difference between the two blenders that cook, but based on his reaction we have to assume that it would be very similar. The best thing about this recipe is that afterwards you can add whatever you want. In Mr. Like's case, he wanted crackers, but you could add cheese or bacon or anything else your heart desires that would go well with the Potato & Leek Soup. BEHIND THE SCENES | We used a Canon 80D to film this video. We used Open Shot Editor for editing the film together. We used Canva to create the captions & cards within the video. We used TubeBuddy to help create this thumbnail along with a print screen, the remove background website and canva. This video was filmed on July 5th and released onto our YouTube channel on August 5, 2020. Another tidbit| The Potato & Leek Soup in the Ace Plus Blender actually had several edits prior to going public. It was created, uploaded and scheduled on July 6th for August 3rd, but on July 26th someone recommended a two part series in the Kitchen for each video so Mrs. Like worked out this as the first two part episode and Wednesday became taste test day so this came out on August 5th instead. WHAT TO EXPECT |
KEY COMPONENTS & INGREDIENTS|
Mrs. Like attempts to make a potato with leek soup in her Instant Ace Plus Blender that was meant for the Nova. As stated previously, we did adjust the time to 17:21 with the soup 2 setting because that was the max it would go. The recipe calls for over 22 minutes of cooking. The soup seemed fine at the little over 17 minute mark. We are assuming because of the difference in motors between the Nova & the Plus that the Plus doesn't need as much time. You can add so many things to this soup after it's done including cheese & bacon. Wouldn't that be yummy? If you are wanting a tasty soup with potato & leeks, this is the video for you! This soup wasn't without problems. The first problem she encounters? How to cut a leek? She surpasses this difficult culinary skill with ease after doing a little google search. A little spoiler alert from part two is that he absolutely loved it and devoured the soup in two or three days. It is by far the best thing Mrs. Like has made yet with the Ace Plus Blender and she would definitely make this again. CLEANING | We didn't have an issue with cleaning the Potato & Leek Soup because Mrs. Like was smart and put the dairy & pepper in last. All that has to be done is to pour water into the blender pitcher and then add a couple of drops soap. There is a clean button on the machine and that is pressed. Dump out contents into the sink. We prefer an additional wash other than that one cycle, but if you have to walk away at this point at least there isn't caked on food with the blender. However, we prefer to take our blender to the sink and set the heating element side on the dry counter while our pull down faucet is used to clean the inside again. Our preference is Dawn dish soap and it really is handy to have a pull down faucet. We have a video coming out in October with washing tips. We did not have the Ace Blender when we created this video or we would have shown how useful the pull down faucet was with this device. BEHIND THE SCENES | Mrs. LION was beginning to get more and more comfortable with her camera friend Canon 80d. This video is 9 minutes and the second video is 6 minutes long. We hope you enjoy the eighth episode of Season One: Can She Make It in the Ace Plus Blender. We used a Canon 80D to film this video. We used Open Shot Editor for editing the film together. We used Canva to create the captions & cards within the video. We used TubeBuddy to help create this thumbnail along with a print screen, the remove background website and canva. We filmed this on July 5th and created this video on July 26th. This was the first two part episode in the Ace Plus Blender series. This video released onto our YouTube channel on August 3, 2020 Other Tidbit | The shirt Mrs. Like wears in this video came from Walmart a number of years ago. It is a small, but it runs very large. It is super comfortable as well and she has two of them. One day she wore it over to her best friend's family home and his mother had on the same exact shirt. She suddenly passed away in February 2020. Although it's pretty large on her now, she still wear it because it reminds her of that day where they laughed so hard that Mrs. Like had to run to the bathroom. This winging it recipe is for the Ace Plus Blender. Why did Mrs. Like wing it? She couldn't find a recipe for it. It's not your typical vegetable soup, but Mr. Like It said, "Not bad." He also said it's a good starting point. The Information below is what we used, but a few tweaks need to be made in order to be better. Let us know if you have any suggestions to make our vegetable soup even better. What are we missing? This is a video from our channel that debuted in July 2020. WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE VIDEO |

KEY BULLET POINTS |
Can she make vegetable soup in the instant ace plus blender? Well she sure did. It was good enough Mr. Like ate a whole huge bowl of it, but not good enough that he ate the rest. This self created recipe utilizes many frozen vegetables including corn, peas, green beans, carrots, potato, vegetable stock and a variety of many McCormick spices. It's not your typical vegetable soup, but he seemed to like it okay. As always, there are cut & blooper scenes at the end. We hope you enjoy and if you try a variation of this soup be sure to comment to let us know how it turned out for you! The biggest change would probably make with this would be to use two potatoes instead of one as well as cut them into larger chunks. The smaller chunks got demolished. We include a comment poll about burning the Ace Plus Blender with this recipe because Mrs. Like had burned it two times in a row. Mr. Like says, "Unlike the tomato soup, this may get eaten." Mrs. Like determined that was a lie. He did enjoy the vegetable soup better than the tomato so we're heading in the right direction. We have a Ace Plus Blender Playlist that you might enjoy if you enjoyed this video. SIDE NOTE | (from Mrs. Like) I really had no idea what I was doing with the Vegetable Soup. I know that it is not the traditional Veggie Soup and it did get thrown away one week later after the one bowl my husband ate on camera. The point of this series was to get to know the Ace Plus Blender and show that I'm really bad in the kitchen at the same time. If I were editing this same video now, it would look different in terms of I probably would have made it into two parts or cut some scenes out so it was shorter in length overall. This may have been the first time "interesting flavor" came up. I hadn't gotten the hang of doing a transition during the montage so this one was just fast forward of the cooking process. BEHIND THE SCENES | We used a Canon 80D to film this video. We used Open Shot Editor for editing the film together. We used Canva to create the captions & cards within the video. We most likely did use TubeBuddy to help create this thumbnail along with a print screen, the remove background website and canva. We filmed the footage on June 25 and put it together on July. This video debuted on our YouTube channel on July 19, 2020 Mrs. Like It Or Not found a recipe for Tomato Basil Soup on the Instant Pot website for the Ace Blender. The time setting is different than the Ace Plus. Will this make a difference in the end product? Can Mrs. Like make it? Let's find out. WHAT TO EXPECT |
Mrs. Like starts off this episode with a funny joke about hand sanitizer. Then, she tackles soup for the first time. We did discover in this episode that the Ace Plus Blender's soup 1 setting only goes to 15 minutes. Overall the soup wasn't bad, but a different recipe might be used the next time we make tomato soup. Mrs. Like would also use Soup 1 at 10 minutes TWICE instead of Soup 1 at 15 minutes ONCE. She might would do a Soup 2 setting instead since Mr. Like It prefers a smoother soup. One of our favorite tools in the kitchen is the Kitchenaid Slim Spatula. It really gets those cans empty. Mr. Like really likes it for getting the last bit of peanut butter out of a jar, but it makes quick work for getting all of the food out of cans too. It's one of our go to tools in the kitchen. Who can have tomato soup without a grilled cheese? Mr. Like makes a quick grilled cheese. We see squirrels and have to clean the blender. What? Mrs. Like burned the blender two times in a row? Say it ain't so. However, she found a quick clean option. Mrs. Like threw in the Finish Powerball Max dish washing tab into the blender and turned it up to Soup. If you want to see this segment, go to about the 10 minute mark. We have decided another thing that might do the trick with one setting is to set it to puree (which will also get it up to temperature) with the dish tab and then let that cycle run completely before doing a regular clean cycle with your dish soap. We mention doing other comparison videos because we purchased 3 products to try the next time the blender burns, but fortunately we've not had to try them because we've managed to not burn the blender a third time (knock on wood). Of course we have bloopers in this video as well and most of them came within the first give minutes of filming. We joke about cutting the cheese. INGREDIENTS & ITEMS USED IN VIDEO |
BEHIND THE SCENES | We used a Canon 80D to film this video. We used Open Shot Editor for editing the film together. We used Canva to create the captions & cards within the video. This video debuted on Like It Or Not YouTube Channel on July 13, 2020. NOTES FROM MRS. LIKE IT | This was before I decided to cut videos into parts (make it and taste it) so it is longer than normal, but we also added in a segment on the grilled cheese AND cleaning a burned Ace Plus Blender so we pack a lot into that 15 minutes. We hope you enjoyed the video.
