We hope to get back to doing these fitness blogs soon, but October to December were very difficult with emotional health which resulted in not feeling up to either exercising OR blogging about exercising. Thank you for your patience.

Day 13 was completed on September 2, 2020. I should have known right off the bad when talking about 13 being a bad omen number that something would happen. I nearly slipped when getting on the elliptical machine because the floor carpet was wet. Most of this video is talking about the Broccoli & Cheese Soup videos as well as the wet carpet. I managed to do really well though and ended up with a bit over half a mile. I managed to do 8 minutes out of the 10 minutes on Level 3 for both resistance & incline and plan to increase it another minute for Day 14. I get winded pushing this, but it's not bothering me so I kept on pushing.

Day 14 was completed on 9/3/2020 and posted on September 4th. I did some unexpected exercise on September the 2nd so this first bit is about that andand showing you can make anything a work out if you put your mind to it. I used the Bissell Carpet Cleaner to give me a great work out. I managed 9 out of 10 minutes on Level 3 and made it .51 miles on the machine. This was amazeballs since my body was so so very sore from sucking the water from the carpet. FIT BIT DATA |
Day 15 was completed on September the 4th and uploaded on the 5th. During this 10 Minute Exercise video, I talk about the carpet a bit more in the beginning of this video. I made it .51 miles in 10 minutes time. I meant to do 10 minutes at level 3 all the way through, but I forgot until about 50 seconds because I was so focused on the carpet. It's okay though. At this point, I was really tired of the wet carpet cleaning. It was down right ridiculous. I decided I'd maintain level 3 on Day 16 and Day 17 for all 10 minutes and then make the decision whether to ramp up (pun intended) any on level 5. FIT BIT DATA |

Day 10 was released on the same day as Day 9 on August 30, 2020. I did this because I already had two videos scheduled for the following day and didn't want to upload a third video for publishing on the same day. This was the first day that half of the exercise was at level 3 for both incline & resistance. I originally intended to do a question of the day, but decided against it as honestly I kept forgetting to input the question of the day. My question of the day this video was what are your favorite leggings. My heart rate needed more than the 2 minutes for cool down to get back down to fat burning zone this day. I made it to l.51 miles for the very first time. I did 2 straight minutes before the 5 minute break at level 3 and then 3 straight minutes after the rest break. I plan to do the same thing on Day 11 and then gradually increase so that I'm on level 3 all the way the 10 minutes by Day 15. My goal was to also try to keep the same pace so that I could make it .48 miles to .51 miles on the machine during that 10 minutes as well. (I did this) FIT BIT DATA |
I made today tough on my body because the first four or five minutes I spent talking and moving very slowly. I wanted to tell you all about the Ace Plus Blender Season 1 was wrapping up. Since I talked through the entire first four minutes, my heart rate wasn't as elevated through the entire exercise. However I pushed my body to catch up with my goal at the end so I spent more time in Peak at the end, but less time was spend in cardio and more in fat burning.
I know there are a few editing mistakes in this video. I edited them really quickly since I was uploading them daily and missed a few things prior to exporting. However I didn't have time to re-edit and re-export and re-upload. I wanted to reach all 10 minutes of level 3 by Day 15 so I created a plan. Day 12: 7 minutes of level 3/ 3 minutes of level 1 Day 13: 8 minutes of level 3/ 2 minutes of level 1 Day 14: 9 minutes of level 3 / 1 minute of level 1 Day 15: 10 minutes of level 3 I wanted to reach at least .45 miles each day. I had to do times 8 for this video with voice over because the background noise was absolutely ridiculous. I forgot the music for bits of this. I hit half mile at 9 minutes and 18 seconds. I went .53 miles which was higher than I've ever gone so far. I had a personal record of o46 rotation per minute and managed 3.2 miles per house. I've never been able to average above 3 miles per hour on the elliptical machine. I made it 7 minutes on both incline & resistance for level 3 which was my goal. FIT BIT DATA |
If you are interested in our Canva Creations Playlist, this is our very first Canva video! I completed the 9th day of the 30 day challenge on August 29, 2020. The phone wouldn't stop ringing this day. My husband butt dialed me probably 8 times including several "video" chats. The problem? We were very close to being out of data for our plan so the butt dials ran us out of data for the month that we were being very stingy on. He had been texting me briefly and had to put his phone away without locking it. I finally decided to go work out and it kept ringing through the work out too (cut out most of them). On this day, the resistance & incline were at level 1 for 5 minutes, level 3 for 2.5 minutes and one or the other for 2.5 minutes. I wasn't focused in the beginning so I thought I wouldn't reach my half a goal mile. However, I managed to catch up by minute 9, but then got behind again. I just squeaked by with that half mile in 10 minutes. I tried on that belt as a check in and it felt like it was easier to put on, but about the same spot on the belt. WHAT TO EXPECT |

Note | from Mrs. Like It | It took me a while to get my groove on through this style of daily vlog in terms of music, behind the video & captions. I found out quickly it was easier to use less captions during this 30 day challenge where I was posting almost every single day. I did 30 days and posted 30 videos in about a 32 day period. We hope you enjoy Episode 9 posted to our YouTube channel on August 30, 2020 about Day 9 of the 30 day challenge. This vlog did not use any fast forward and was longer than others had been.
This exercise day was completed on September 28th. Eight days have gone by at this point. I increased on the elliptical machine to level 3 for 2 and 12 minutes on both Incline & Resistance, level 3 for same amount of time for Incline OR Resistance and stayed at level 1 for 5 minutes. Day 8 is the day I said Lasagna. I was watching Kerry & Berry on YouTube and heard them say Lasagna and thank goodness they shared a picture because I had no idea what they were saying without the picture. It is amazing how different English speaking countries (and even different parts of the US) say words differently. My hair is still too short for one pony tail at this point. I didn't wear my normal work out shirt because I was kind of in a hurry to get it done and just grabbed one of my shirts that was laying on the bed. This was a good elliptical day where I got27 zone minutes and I knew I was still ready to increase levels since I was still averaging half a mile with the elliptical machine. The machine I use is a Sole E-35 (we've had it for about 10 years). WHAT TO EXPECT |

Technical Note | from Mrs. Like It | It took me a while to get my groove on through this style of daily vlog in terms of music, behind the video & captions. I found out quickly it was easier to use less captions during this 30 day challenge where I was posting almost every single day.
This was the first day I edited the video a bit differently than I did on day 1 to 7. I cut out the fast forward altogether and just cut and spliced videos together. It was a faster edit that way. I did 30 days and posted 30 videos in about a 32 day period. We hope you enjoy Episode 8 posted to our YouTube channel on August 29, 2020 about Day 8 of the 30 day challenge. I am stopping posting the Zone Minute information and what fit bit I'm wearing, but you can find that on old blog posts. August 27, 2020 was the second day during the 30 day Elliptical challenge that I increased something. I increased the for RESISTANCE on day 7 to level 3 for 5 out of 10 minutes (every other minute). The goal is to get to level 3 for 5 minutes in both by Day 10. This was the first day I struggled with motivation, but I reached out to some friends and they gave me the push I needed to get down to the dungeon and work out. However I was very thrilled after exercising 8 days in a row. My legs felt like rubber during this challenge. I was still doing fast forward times 8 in the right hand corner. WHAT TO EXPECT |

BEHIND THE SCENES | This video was recorded using the Canon 80D with the 18-135mm lens (our general lens for most of our videos). As usual, we used Open Shot for editing the footage together and Canva for creating cards, captions & thumbnails. We may have used Tube Buddy to assist with the thumbnail making. We frequently take screen shots of images from the footage and put it in a basic paint program (we have windows computer). We crop the image as small as we can and then place the image into the website (www.remove.bg) That has been a very useful website for our videos. Sometimes we only use Canva for Thumbnails. We hope you enjoy Episode 7 posted to our YouTube channel on August 29, 2020 about Day 7 of the 30 day challenge. We explore the charts from the first five videos on day 6 before moving into the elliptical work out on day 6. The first increase of level 3 on incline for half of the time. Increasing the inclines caused the machine to work more of Mrs. Like's hamstrings. The biggest thing was knowing that at the end of day 6 there was an hour of work out that wouldn't have been without the challenge. This day seemed easier than expected moving up to level 3 for half the time which made the decision to try to get both resistance and incline up to level 3 by day 10 easier at the end of the exercise. Note | from Mrs. Like It Or I recognized on October 6th of 2020 that the Fit Bit Impact Chart wasn't looking quite right. If I look at my steps for August 26th, it shows I had 1810 steps for the day. The impact chart for my logged elliptical work out says it impacted by day by getting 658 steps out of 658 steps. The Calories burned is also off because if I look at August 26th it shows that the work out impacted my day 91 calories burned out of 434 calories burned for the day. I burn about 1100 calories in a day even slothing on the couch all day. There is no way that impact chart is correct. Ultimately, this may impact the way our videos and blogs look if we can't use this charts. However we're hoping they straighten that out soon. Since the last two days were relatively easy (minus a little soreness), the decision was made to start slowly increasing resistance & incline to level 3 on Day 6 of the challenge. Hydration is very important when working out. There is also no need to look like a beauty queen either. Wear what is most comfortable and put your hair up. Mrs. Like It Quads were talking to her on day 5. It lasted about 2 or 3 minutes and went away. She got into Peak Cardio before taking her half break. Lots of self talk happened off camera. Made it half mile. WHAT TO EXPECT |

Mrs. Like It really struggled during the 10 minute cycle so two breaks had to be taken, but the heart rate didn't dip out of cardio. Mrs. Like It made it for the first half mile on the machine and this was when the decision was made to make half a mile the goal each day. Mrs. Like it lets her fit bit keep running during the "breaks" because she wants to calculate the entire work out, but she presses pause on the elliptical so that it's not calculating passive minutes. The two breaks likely accounted for the lower day 3 heart rate average. WHAT TO EXPECT |

There was a break half way through for a water and quick rest. Comment with your favorite pair of leggings. Mrs. Like It has several pair of leggings, but only one are really decent for exercise.
