There's only one way to find out. It's just to try and see.WHAT TO EXPECT
BEHIND THE SCENES info This was recorded using Canon 80D and all editing was done with Open Shot Editor with Canva (Free Version on the computer). The microphone is Maono AU A425 Plus and we used OBS for the end scene voice over.
Mistake: Forgot to take pictures of the end result Music used in this one came from YouTube Studio Audio Library and is called After You. We used this one once in this video. It was filmed on 1/8/2021 at around 6:30am. This was earlier than normal, but I knew it would be a quick film (15 minutes of footage total and cut down to 3 minutes.

This is the first kitchen video of the year. It includes the opening of the frozen box pizza for Food Lion Brand Bake & Rise Crust as well as the taste test. Our opinion is that this pizza is very bland, but check out the video for yourself. This is the video where we announce "we need a new oven" because our oven isn't heating properly. BEHIND THE SCENES INFORMATION
This was recorded using Canon 80D and all editing was done with Open Shot Editor with Canva (Free Version on the computer). The microphone is Maono Brand and we used OBS for the end scene voice over. Mistake: We meant to cut out the "bye" segment, but half of it was still there and didn't realize it. However, decided it wasn't worth it to cut out. Annoyance for us: Our Fridge is quite "loud." We need a new one of those as well, but it is what it is. During our kitchen videos 90% of the video there is a low hum which is caused by our fridge. We've tried to edit it out in the past, but it's caused our voices to be tinny so we just now leave it and try to cover over as much as we can with music. Speaking of Music: Music used in this one came from YouTube Studio Audio Library and is called After You. We used this one twice in this video. Are you afraid you missed something in the Ace Plus Blender Series for Season 1? Like It Or Not has you covered! Here are all of the videos in ONE SPOT!
Have you ever burned food in your blender and couldn't figure it out? We had this problem after cooking Alfredo Sauce in our blender. We figured it out after a lot of trial & errors.
Remember the time she made almond butter in the Ace Plus Blender? It took her a while, but once she figured it out it was delicious!
WHAT TO EXPECT |
The weirdest thing about this recipe is that it's set for Soup2 which means the temp should get to 212, but the blender doesn't get hot with this recipe. We know that the Soup2 setting is working because the blender burned and we've used it in other things since filming the Bean Dip. We learned something new after filming this in regards to the Ace Plus Blender so we hope to remake the bean dip with the something new we learned to see if that helps the consistency. That video will come out on Wednesday along with the Taste Test. We're not including the specifics of what we used in this video since it didn't look right when it came out of the blender. However, this is the recipe we utilized in this video should you want to try it for yourself. https://recipes.instantpot.com/recipe/ace-plus-blender-warm-black-bean-dip/ BEHIND THE SCENES|
This video is a doozy. We cram a lot into 10 minutes. First there is the original taste test and some humor. Then, the bean dip is remade with a tid bit about the blender. Another taste test is completed. After this, we show two attempts (one works well) to clean a burned blender. Then as always the cut scenes. We had so much fun even though I wasn't feeling well for the recording of most of this video (which is why I'm behind the camera for most of it). BEHIND THE SCENES |
We utilized the same camera & sound as previous videos, but did not use Audacity to clean t his one up simply because we ran out of time. I did not feel well after I made the first batch (the time that the first taste test & first clean cycle was done) so it took a while to remake it and film. I tried to be "off camera" for as much as possible since I didn't feel well. I'm still not feeling great as of the typing of this so I am not putting as much information in the blog as normal. Please accept my sincerest apologizes for any mistakes this video may have as I simply couldn't sit up right long enough to go over all of the nuances of the video like typical. If I feel up to it later, I may add to this blog post. However, I wanted to get something up on the day the video premiered. Other behind the Scenes. Some of the video was filmed on October 23rd while the remake & retaste were made on November 7th. The video was put together on November 8th and finalized on the channel on November 11th the day it released. We found a Cauliflower Pizza by the Real Good Pizza Company. We were intrigued to find out if it would indeed taste yummy. WHAT TO EXPECT |
This pizza (in our opinion) was not good. The crust was soggy yet nearly burnt. We baked it as the instructions stated (on a pan) for the minimum amount and we had to pull it out with 50 seconds to go because it was burning. If possible, it got worse after we stopped eating. The aftertaste was not good. We do NOT recommend this pizza. As Mr. Like It Or Not (key emphasis on the not), this might be a good option for you if you can't eat gluten or grain crust. However, we did not enjoy this pizza. Ultimately, Mrs. Like It gave up after eating 3 small slices and Mr. Like It (OR rather NOT in this case) removed the cheese and pepperoni from the crust. The ingredients say there is sauce, but it was very hard to tell that there was any. The crust was slimy on the cheese side and very floppy. The edges of the crust burned so it couldn't have remained in the oven any longer. We really wanted to tolerate this pizza, but it simply wasn't good. BEHIND THE SCENES |
We tackle making Oat Milk In the first episode of the second season of the Ace Plus Blender Series. We use both Steel Cut Oats & Rolled Oats in the blender. A game for you guys is to count the number of time I use the word "gross." Can she make Oat milk? Let's find out. WHAT TO EXPECT |
INGREDIENTS & TOOLS |
Here is the deal. This was gross. It was so gross especially for someone that has texture issues. However, I pummeled through this just for our viewers. I have read since making it that if you use a different setting it might not turn out as slimy. I am not sure I'll be redoing the Oat Milk during Season 2 unless I run out prior to doing Battle of the Blenders. I have sense read two or three tips that I want to put to the test to see if I can reduce the sliminess of the oat milk. Stay tuned in a couple of weeks for that video. https://recipes.instantpot.com/recipe/ace-blender-oat-milk/ Behind the Scenes |
This video was filmed on October 18th and she edited it on October 22nd and 23rd. She uploaded it to YouTube to publish on November 2nd. She used TubeBuddy 95% for the thumbnail in this one. The background was selected from Canva, but that was all. Our footage was filmed using our Canva. We used the internal microphone from the camera as well as a Maono AU A425 Plus Microphone for voice overs. Have you ever struggled to keep your kitchen clean? Us too. However, we have a few dish washing & dish drying tips that might help you keep your kitchen better organized. Who are we kidding? We still have a messy kitchen, but it helps us when we do wish to get it clean WHAT TO EXPECT |
Mrs. Like HATES washing the dishes, but there are a few things that she has found to make this unruly task more manageable. The biggest thing she discovered were these cookie cooling racks that she actually uses for drying dishes instead. It's customizable and you can set a jumbo dish drying mat under it as well. Mrs. Like loves her Delta Pull Down Faucet. This particular brand for those that are interested is the Delta Zalia Spotshield Stainless 1 handle deck mount pull down level kitchen faucet. They have also in past homes had the Delta Trask Pull down facuet and it works lovely as well. Most of the items purchased in the video were either found at Lowe's, Walmart, Grocery Store or even a bargain store. She loves how quiet her Bosch Dishwasher is, but it must be opened almost immediately after the cycle finishes or the dishes stay wet & start to smell even if she opens it up an hour or two later. However, it does clean dry peanut butter off of knives so that's a bonus! It's very rare she has to re-wash utensils which is always a sore spot with dishwashers. She just has to remember to open that dishwasher as soon as it finishes. (about twice a month she forgets which results in a 2nd washing). BEHIND THE SCENES| We needed a video from the kitchen on a Wednesday in October and got dang lucky and found this almost fully edited file from June. It needed a few tweaks to make it better based on what was learned since the edit in June, but overall left what was done previously in tact. One kind of funny tid bit is that in the original video there was a slice of teal blue at the top of the video and Mrs. Like can NOT remember why she did that. The two songs we used in this video are from the YouTube Audio Library called After You & Gaiety in the Golden Age.
We used a Canon 80D to film this video. We used Open Shot Editor for editing the film together. We used Canva to create the captions & cards within the video. We did use TubeBuddy to help create this thumbnail along with a print screen, the remove background website and Canva. Originally this was filmed and put together on June 7th, but we forgot to upload it to YouTube. We found and fixed some things on October 9th. This video released onto our YouTube channel on October 28, 2020. Mrs. Like had a very long day. She went to a full honors military funeral for her Uncle and was starving for food, but did not feel like leaving the house. They had purchased a Daiya Cheeze Lovers Pizza a while back for filming. What did they think? Well check out this authentic reaction video. WHAT TO EXPECT |
Mrs. Like wanted Amy's Vegan Mac & Cheeze from her freezer, but they were all out of that so Daiya Cheeze Lovers Pizza it was. She had decided originally to make this pizza and then do another video later, but once she pulled it out of the box she realized it was a must to do the authentic reaction that day. There was no way they were going to spend more money on this pizza and there was no recreating their thoughts an in authentic way.
Daiya is a dairy, soy & gluten free pizza. It looked absolutely NOTHING like the picture on the box. The only thing it had going for it was that it held heat really well. Some people claim this is the best gluten/dairy/soy free pizza there is, but it really wasn't that great. Mrs. Like tasted it first because it was still too hot for Mr. Like. Her opinion -- meh. She found it to taste better than DiGiorno Pan Pizza. Mr. Like tried it next and said it was tasteless and agreed that it was way better than the Pan Pizza by DiGiorno. If you have eaten this pizza and love it, tell us what we did wrong because it didn't look like the box. BEHIND THE SCENES| We used a Canon 80D to film this video. We used Open Shot Editor for editing the film together. We used Canva to create the captions & cards within the video. We did use TubeBuddy to help create this thumbnail along with a print screen, the remove background website and Canva. We filmed this on August 13 and put it together on September 17th. This video released onto our YouTube channel on October 26, 2020 Mrs. Like doesn't have her usual bubbly personality here because she had just returned home from a funeral.
WHAT TO EXPECT |
Mrs. Like doesn't like Almond Butter in the store. However, she thought maybe she'd like her own version since she does like to use her homemade almond milk instead of store bought. It doesn't go as easily as expected. She didn't use enough oil for the amount of oil she used and wound up having to using olive oil to get the consistency to her liking. It was really good though. It takes a lot of scraping with nut butter and isn't necessarily a set it and forget it type of recipe. In the video, she used 3 cups of almonds, a little bit of salt and started off with only 2 TB of coconut oil. However, she needed a LOT more plus used olive oil to get it to come to consistency. The Nut Butter Program was used twice on the Ace Plus Blender. If Mrs. Like made it again, she would probably start off with a good 1/4 cups of melted coconut oil if not more. However, this was VERY very yummy. She ate it all. In other videos, Mrs. Like has been splitting the make it and taste it into two videos. However since it took so long to make it, she decided just to have one longer video instead of one over 10 minute video and one very short video. She added cleaning the blender to this video as well. Is it really a Like It Or Not video if there aren't cut scenes? BEHIND THE SCENES | We used a Canon 80D to film this video. We used Open Shot Editor for editing the film together. We used Canva to create the captions & cards within the video. We used TubeBuddy to help create this thumbnail along with a print screen, the remove background website and canva. We filmed the footage on July 16th and put it together on that same day. This video debuted on our YouTube channel on August 16, 2020.
