We found a Cauliflower Pizza by the Real Good Pizza Company. We were intrigued to find out if it would indeed taste yummy. WHAT TO EXPECT |
This pizza (in our opinion) was not good. The crust was soggy yet nearly burnt. We baked it as the instructions stated (on a pan) for the minimum amount and we had to pull it out with 50 seconds to go because it was burning. If possible, it got worse after we stopped eating. The aftertaste was not good. We do NOT recommend this pizza. As Mr. Like It Or Not (key emphasis on the not), this might be a good option for you if you can't eat gluten or grain crust. However, we did not enjoy this pizza. Ultimately, Mrs. Like It gave up after eating 3 small slices and Mr. Like It (OR rather NOT in this case) removed the cheese and pepperoni from the crust. The ingredients say there is sauce, but it was very hard to tell that there was any. The crust was slimy on the cheese side and very floppy. The edges of the crust burned so it couldn't have remained in the oven any longer. We really wanted to tolerate this pizza, but it simply wasn't good. BEHIND THE SCENES |

Mrs. Like had a very long day. She went to a full honors military funeral for her Uncle and was starving for food, but did not feel like leaving the house. They had purchased a Daiya Cheeze Lovers Pizza a while back for filming. What did they think? Well check out this authentic reaction video. WHAT TO EXPECT |
Mrs. Like wanted Amy's Vegan Mac & Cheeze from her freezer, but they were all out of that so Daiya Cheeze Lovers Pizza it was. She had decided originally to make this pizza and then do another video later, but once she pulled it out of the box she realized it was a must to do the authentic reaction that day. There was no way they were going to spend more money on this pizza and there was no recreating their thoughts an in authentic way.
Daiya is a dairy, soy & gluten free pizza. It looked absolutely NOTHING like the picture on the box. The only thing it had going for it was that it held heat really well. Some people claim this is the best gluten/dairy/soy free pizza there is, but it really wasn't that great. Mrs. Like tasted it first because it was still too hot for Mr. Like. Her opinion -- meh. She found it to taste better than DiGiorno Pan Pizza. Mr. Like tried it next and said it was tasteless and agreed that it was way better than the Pan Pizza by DiGiorno. If you have eaten this pizza and love it, tell us what we did wrong because it didn't look like the box. BEHIND THE SCENES| We used a Canon 80D to film this video. We used Open Shot Editor for editing the film together. We used Canva to create the captions & cards within the video. We did use TubeBuddy to help create this thumbnail along with a print screen, the remove background website and Canva. We filmed this on August 13 and put it together on September 17th. This video released onto our YouTube channel on October 26, 2020 Mrs. Like doesn't have her usual bubbly personality here because she had just returned home from a funeral.
We felt it was only right to give a true comparison to try both the DiGiorno Stromboli & the Hot Pocket in the microwave. How did they pan out? Is it truly that much better in the oven? Did we like the cheaper one in the microwave better? Let's find out. This video published on our channel today on 10/21/2020 WHAT TO EXPECT |
The Stromboli needed 2 minutes and 45 seconds in the microwave and then a 2 minute cool down. We cooked that one first and then cooked the Hot Pocket for 2 minutes. We ate the Stromboli while the Hot Pocket was cooling. Did you know that the difference between baking the DiGiorno Stromboli in the oven and microwave is astounding? We couldn't believe our taste buds when we bit into a flavorless Stromboli. The amazing flavors from the oven had completely dissipated away into nothingness. If you purchase a DiGiorno Stromboli, do yourself a favor and bake it in the oven for the time & temp recommended on the box. Do not put this in the microwave unless you want a greasy and bland hot mess. The Hot Pocket actually wasn't bad in the microwave and was better in the microwave than the DiGiorno Stromboli. The crisping sleeve worked better for the Hot Pocket and it was crispier than the Stromboli. Mr. Like thinks the Hot Pocket tastes better in the microwave than the oven, but we followed it up with the one that tasted horrible. He whiplashed his chin with hot cheese from the Hot Pocket. We 100% agreed that the Hot Pocket tasted better in the microwave than the DiGiorno Stromboli. In the battle: We prefer the Nestle Hot Pocket to the DiGiorno Stromboli in the microwave, but in the oven the Stromboli tasted better. When you take into account the price, then Nestle Hot Pocket wins. If you can't decide, base it on price. If they are on sale and close to the same price, go with the Stromboli put make sure to bake it in the oven. BEHIND THE SCENES |
COMING SOON |
We will feature the Spicy Sweet Potato Soup Taste Test video tomorrow on the blog and our next brand new video on our channel food related will be Daiya Cheeze Pizza which is a dairy free pizza with uncured pepperoni. That comes out on Monday! We saw an advertisement for DiGiorno Stromboli. All of the comments said it was a glorified hot pocket, but DiGiorno claimed it was not a hot pocket at all. We wanted to put them to the test. Are they a glorified hot pocket or are they something else? First up in the challenge is the oven. This is a brand new video just released to our channel. WHAT TO EXPECT |
We looked at each box & food item prior to putting it in the oven. We noticed that the Stromboli box had a perforated edge, but the Hot Pocket box did not. The Stromboli cost more than the Hot Pocket. The Hot Pocket was slightly smaller in size than the Stromboli and the Stromboli appeared to have more seasoning on it than the Hot Pocket so it looked fancier. The crisping sleeves for the microwave looked almost identical, but one was larger. Stromboli temp was 375 for 27 minutes and the Hot Pocket was 350 for 28 minutes. We decided to use the Stromboli temp and time and bake them both together. Upon pulling the pan out of the oven, Mrs. Like made an error in judgement and touched the pan with her bare finger. OUCH! The Stromboli had way more flavor than the Hot Pocket, but if you take into account the price difference we aren't sure it's worth the extra cost for the extra flavor especially considering how much better being oven baked made the Hot Pocket itself. However if you take price out of the equation, the Stromboli was definitely better. We decided we MUST microwave both the Stromboli & the Hot Pocket in order to do a comprehensive review of the two different food items for another taste test. Were we pigs or were our eyes bigger than our stomach? Find out on Wednesday on 10/16/2020 BEHIND THE SCENES |
NOTE FROM EDITOR| We didn't expect this to be a two part episode. We had truly only planned to do the oven baked Hot Pocket vs Stromboli, but it had been so long since we had eaten a hot pocket in the microwave we couldn't remember exactly what the difference would be. So stay tuned for the Microwave edition coming out on Wednesday. We baked the DiGiorno Thin Crust Pizza last time and hungry Mr. Like It finally gets to eat. He always blames Mrs. Like It for hot food. Will this pizza be too hot for him to eat? Will he like it or not? Let's watch and see. This is a brand new video that published today on 10/14/2020. WHAT TO EXPECT |
There really is very little to say, but Mr. Like It really did like this pizza. In fact, he has bought two or three more since this video was made which says a lot. He wishes that they'd add olives to this pizza since there are olives on other DiGiorno Supreme Pizzas.
Story Time: We did in fact share a fart story. It was difficult decision to include it, but it's a part of life and for sure apart of ours so we thought it would be fine to leave it in. BEHIND THE SCENES| We used a Canon 80D to film this video. We used Open Shot Editor for editing the film together. We used Canva to create the captions & cards within the video. We did use TubeBuddy to help create this thumbnail along with a print screen, the remove background website and Canva. We filmed this on August 10 and put it together on September 14th. This video released onto our YouTube channel on October 14, 2020. NOTE FROM EDITOR| We really enjoy creating it (from the planning to the filming to the editing) and hope you enjoy it as much as we do. We [now] try to turn our kitchen videos into two parts because we can leave some scenes that would need to be trimmed if we did it into one part. The two parts together would have been over 17 minutes and this way we were able to leave in more than if we had made it into one video. We are also trying to put up a blog post for new kitchen videos when they go public on our YouTube channel. That way current things being published are coming out between stuff that's been on our channel for a while. We are hoping that it will only be current things once all of Season 1 of the Ace Plus Blender Series is posted onto our website minus the every now and then older post that's not ace plus blender or pizza related. We were on a pizza roll and Mr. Like it found a DiGiorno Thin Crust Pepperoni Pizza in our local Food Lion. He doesn't even like Thin Crust pizza. How did he like this one? This is a brand new video to our channel publishing on 10/12/2020. WHAT TO EXPECT |
DiGiorno Thin Crust Pizza was actually a pleasant surprise. It was better than Mr. Like It expected. However, it was missing one key ingredient (there were no olives). He wasn't expecting this one not to have olives. It was a great source of discussion in the video since other DiGiorno Supreme Pizzas had olives.
Mr. Like decided he really liked this pizza. It came in ahead of many other pizzas tried on our channel, but a couple of others beat it (Freschetta Rising Crust Pepperoni & DiGiorno Rising Crust Supreme). He took a few pieces to work the next day and said they made amazing leftovers so he's bought a few more since to be able to bake and take to work. That's saying something right there. That is not something he does. BEHIND THE SCENES |
