Isn't a bummer when you realize after you upload a video that you missed something KEY to share? That's why we're coming back with Part 2. In this video, we share with you a key tip in creating your Canva green screen captions that we realized after publishing our first video. We also wanted to share with you how we use Open Shot in order to create that green screen effect for our videos. That thing we missed? Use your editing program to your advantage when creating captions in Canva. We use Open Shot. In open shot, it automatically removes anything in BLACK so by creating our backgrounds in black it takes out one less step in the editing process. This is huge when there are a lot of captions for one video. If your editing program uses another color, be sure to create your caption plain background that color in order to help reduce the number of steps needed in your edit process. It's a time saver that's for sure! We only wish we had thought of it earlier. We thought of it AFTER we published the first video, but it has sure saved us time over the last month. What isn't in the video? Our favorite transition to use for our captions. We love to use either Fade In & Out (either slow or fast depending on what it is) OR Animate from the bottom to center back to bottom for other things. Would you like us to create a video on how to animate things in Open Shot? Sounds like the next logical step to us. WHAT TO EXPECT|
UPCOMING| We are bringing to you outlining images in Canva and after that we aren't quite sure as of 10/9/2020 exactly what that will be, but we are considering another Canva/Open Shot video for November so let us know if you have any suggestions on what you'd like to know. How did Like It Or Not get into Canva Tutorials?| Mrs. Like It Or Not has been using Canva for creating things for quite some time, but over the last year she has learned how to use Canva to create things for YouTube. A group of Small YouTubers requested for us to create a video showing how to use Canva for YouTube That first video was created in July 2020. She created one more in August 2020 and then one more in September. For October 2020, Like It Or Not created TWO videos and one includes how to use chroma key in Open Shot. Behind the Scenes| Like It Or Not utilized OBS Studio for capturing the video from the laptop. We utilized the Maono AU-425 Plus Microphone for recording audio. Finally, we obviously used Canva for creating all of the cards and captions within the video. We kept the style of the Canva for Instagram video the same as Canva for YouTube. We knew this was going to become a series as more people made suggestions for making captions for YouTube for episode 3. This episode debuted on Like It Or Not YouTube Channel on October 9, 2020
